We update our rankings daily. Technically, we could update them in real time, but we felt that might be a little excessive. Daily updates keep the rankings fresh without turning every minor review change into unnecessary noise. The goal is simple: give traders the most current view possible without overcomplicating the process.
We collect public user reviews, ratings, and trader feedback from across the internet, along with reviews submitted directly on PropTraderReviews. That data is processed through our proprietary scoring algorithm. Our algorithm gives much more weight to recent reviews and payout reliability. Who cares about a quick and polite unfair payout denial? I think we would all prefer the money in our accounts! We keep our rankings fresh, relevant, and aligned with what traders are experiencing now.
No. Never. Our entire model is built around a neutral, data-driven scoring system. We do not manually raise or lower a firm’s score based on personal opinions, business relationships, affiliate deals, sponsorships, pressure from firms, or anything else.
- The score is not based on how we personally feel about a firm.
- It is not based on whether we have a relationship with that firm.
- It is not based on whether that firm pays us.
- It is based on current data, recent trader feedback, and the rules of our algorithm.
Yes. PropTraderReviews is a for-profit business, and we do have standard affiliate relationships with some firms. But here is the important part:
Affiliate deals do not affect rankings.
- A firm cannot pay us to improve its score.
- A firm cannot pay us to hide bad reviews.
- A firm cannot pay us to move higher in the rankings.
- A firm cannot punish us into changing its score by refusing to work with us.
We understand that this may cost us short-term revenue. Some firms may not like it. Some may choose not to partner with us. That is fine. Our long-term goal is to build trust with traders. That only works if the rankings stay independent, transparent, and data-driven.
All firms can be listed on PropTraderReviews, whether we have an affiliate relationship with them or not. When a firm provides us with an affiliate code, we display it clearly for users who want to use it. Firms may also purchase advertising placements, such as:
- Sponsored listings on the website
- Sponsored placements above certain tables
- Sponsored placements in our newsletter
However, all paid placements will be clearly marked as sponsored.
- A sponsored listing is not an endorsement.
- A sponsored listing does not affect the firm’s score.
- A sponsored listing does not change the rankings.
Advertising is advertising. Rankings are rankings. We keep them separate.
We understand that every business goes through difficult periods. The good news is that our scoring system gives much more weight to recent reviews. That means if your firm improves, fixes issues, pays traders consistently, updates unclear rules, and earns back community trust, your score can recover much faster than it would on traditional review sites. Unlike platforms where old reviews can dominate your rating for years, PropTraderReviews is designed to reflect current performance. So if your score is lower than you would like, the best thing you can do is simple: Serve traders well. If the community notices, our score will notice too. We are not here to be your enemy. We want firms to improve. And when they do, traders should be able to see that improvement quickly.

"Positives" and "Negatives" aspects about a firm are based on recent chatter and verified reviews. We run it daily. Results can change dramatically if a firm runs into sudden issues or fixes issues and users talk about it online where the algo can pick it up.
Payouts
