Earn2Trade Review: Rules, Accounts, Payouts, Discounts & Trader Details
Earn2Trade is one of the longest-running futures evaluation firms, funding traders through two subscription-based programs: the Trader Career Path, a step-by-step scaling ladder that grows from $25K toward $400K, and the Gauntlet Mini, a single-phase evaluation you can buy in at up to $200K. Both use EOD trailing drawdown during evaluation, a 10-day minimum, and a 30% consistency rule, then lead to a funded LiveSim or real Live account with an 80/20 split. What separates Earn2Trade from the pack is its education-first framing, its genuine path to a real brokerage-cleared Live account, and free professional platforms bundled with the subscription.
Quick verdict: Earn2Trade suits disciplined CME futures traders who want clear published rules, a structured route to larger capital, and a real Live-account option rather than a sim-only model. The main things to understand before buying are the recurring monthly billing, the 10-day minimum, the 30% consistency rule, the LiveSim-to-Live step, the intraday-only requirement, and the ongoing data fees on Live accounts.

How We Reviewed Earn2Trade
We built this review from Earn2Trade's own material: the Gauntlet Mini and Trader Career Path account pages, the help center articles on drawdown, payouts, and activation, the terms and prohibited-conduct rules, and the current pricing and promotions. Where the firm publishes exact figures, such as profit targets, drawdowns, daily loss limits, and contract ladders, we used them directly. Where price depends on region and active promotions, we point you to the live checkout rather than guess. Details were last checked on July 9, 2026.
Earn2Trade runs two programs that share the same evaluation rules at matching sizes. This review covers both, and separates the evaluation stage from the funded stage clearly, because the drawdown model and the rules change once you are funded.
Earn2Trade Account Types
Earn2Trade offers two evaluation programs that lead to the same funded outcome by different routes.
Trader Career Path (TCP) is the scaling program. You start smaller (TCP25, TCP50, or TCP100) and unlock each larger account only after you hit and withdraw its profit target, climbing toward $200K on TCP25 or $400K on TCP50 and TCP100. TCP subscriptions include a free reset at every monthly rebill, which softens the cost of a failed attempt.
Gauntlet Mini (GAU) is the direct route. You choose your starting size (GAU50, GAU100, GAU150, or GAU200), pass once, and get funded at that same size. It has a lower monthly price than TCP at matching sizes but does not include free resets, so a reset must be purchased.
After passing either program, you choose between a LiveSim account (simulated, funded, with real payouts and EOD drawdown) or a real Live account (orders routed to the CME through a brokerage, with real-time trailing drawdown). Most funded traders start on LiveSim.
Earn2Trade Account Comparison
| Program | Account Size | Profit Target | EOD Drawdown | Daily Loss Limit | Consistency | Min. Days | Max Contracts | Reset |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trader Career Path | $25,000 (TCP25) | $1,750 | $1,500 trailing (EOD) | $550 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 3 | Free at monthly rebill |
| Trader Career Path | $50,000 (TCP50) | $3,000 | $2,000 trailing (EOD) | $1,100 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 6 | Free at monthly rebill |
| Trader Career Path | $100,000 (TCP100) | $6,000 | $3,500 trailing (EOD) | $2,200 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 12 | Free at monthly rebill |
| Gauntlet Mini | $50,000 (GAU50) | $3,000 | $2,000 trailing (EOD) | $1,100 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 6 | Purchased |
| Gauntlet Mini | $100,000 (GAU100) | $6,000 | $3,500 trailing (EOD) | $2,200 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 12 | Purchased |
| Gauntlet Mini | $150,000 (GAU150) | $9,000 | $4,500 trailing (EOD) | $3,300 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 15 | Purchased |
| Gauntlet Mini | $200,000 (GAU200) | $11,000 | $6,000 trailing (EOD) | $4,400 | 30% in evaluation | 10 | Up to 16 | Purchased |
At matching account sizes, the two programs use identical evaluation parameters; the difference is price and structure, not the rules of the test. Pricing is a recurring monthly subscription with no upfront activation fee to start, and it varies by region and active promotion. As an anchor, the GAU50 is listed from $170/month at full price, and the smaller TCP entry sits at the affordable end of the market. Confirm the final price at checkout before subscribing.
Earn2Trade Cost to First Payout
The monthly sticker price is only part of the real cost. Because Earn2Trade bills every month until you pass, the trader who passes quickly pays far less than the one who drags an evaluation across many months. On the funded side, a one-time activation fee and, on Live accounts, ongoing data fees come out of your early profits. Here is how the main paths compare.
| Account | Evaluation Fee | Activation / Data Fees | Min. Trading Days | Min. Payout | First Payout Cap (LiveSim) | Practical Takeaway |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TCP25 | Recurring monthly; affordable entry, advertised from around $150/mo at full price | $139 one-time LiveSim activation, deducted from first withdrawal; free reset on rebill | 10 in evaluation | $100 net | Up to the account profit target (with 20% deducted) | Cheapest way in, and the free reset softens a failed attempt, but you scale up slowly. |
| GAU50 | Recurring monthly; advertised from $170/mo at full price | $139 one-time LiveSim activation, deducted from first withdrawal; resets purchased | 10 in evaluation | $100 net | $4,000 (reach $5,000 profit for full $4,000 after split) | Fastest route to a $50K funded size; no free reset, so budget for possible retries. |
| GAU100 | Recurring monthly; higher tier than GAU50 | $139 one-time LiveSim activation; Live data ~$135–$156/mo per exchange | 10 in evaluation | $100 net | $4,000 on LiveSim | Bigger contract ceiling, but the LiveSim withdrawal cap is the same $4,000 as GAU50. |
| TCP50 (funded, scaling) | Recurring monthly; free reset on rebill | $139 one-time LiveSim activation; Live data ~$135–$156/mo per exchange | 10 in evaluation | $100 net | LiveSim capped at the $3,000 profit target (20% deducted) | Withdraw the full target to unlock the next tier; the scaling ladder is the main draw. |
Two cost notes worth weighing. First, the $139 activation fee for non-professional LiveSim traders is deducted from your first withdrawal, never paid out of pocket. Second, choosing a real Live account classifies you as a professional with the exchange, which means paying your own market-data fee each month, roughly $135 to $156 per exchange depending on platform. Those fees make your first dollars out smaller than the raw profit suggests.
Earn2Trade Rules Explained
EOD Drawdown (Evaluation & LiveSim)
During the evaluation and on funded LiveSim accounts, Earn2Trade uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown. Your minimum balance trails upward based on your closing balance each day and stops trailing once it reaches your starting capital. The floor only moves up at the daily close, but breaches are tracked in real time: if your balance drops below the floor at any point, even on an open trade, the account is breached.
Trailing Drawdown (Live)
Real Live accounts use a continuous trailing drawdown that updates throughout the session on open equity. Every dollar of intraday gain lifts your minimum balance immediately, until the floor reaches your starting balance and locks. This is stricter than the EOD model, so the same strategy can feel very different once you move from LiveSim to Live.
Daily Loss Limit
Each account size has a daily loss limit measured from your session-opening balance, including open and closed positions plus commissions. If your P&L reaches the limit at any point, even intraday, trading is suspended for the rest of that session. On funded accounts, the daily loss limit can be removed on request once your trailing floor reaches your starting balance (for example, at $52,000 on a $50K account).
Consistency Rule
A 30% consistency rule applies during evaluation only: no single trading day may make up 30% or more of your total profit. A big day does not fail you; you simply keep trading until that day falls back under 30% of the growing total. The rule is removed entirely once you are funded.
Progression Ladder & Max Contracts
Instead of fixed leverage, Earn2Trade uses a progression ladder that scales your allowed contracts with your account balance. The ceilings run from 3 contracts on the TCP25 up to 16 on the GAU200. Exceeding your allowed count locks the account for the rest of the day but does not fail the evaluation. Micro contracts count 10-to-1 against the ladder.
Trading Hours & News
The trading day runs 5:00 PM to 3:50 PM CT, and all positions and orders must be closed by 3:50 PM CT, so no overnight holds. Some agricultural and livestock contracts close earlier. News trading is permitted.
Earn2Trade Consistency Rule Example
Suppose you are running a GAU50 evaluation and one strong session nets you $1,200 in profit. The 30% rule means that day cannot represent 30% or more of your total profit when you pass. To bring it under the line, your cumulative profit needs to exceed $4,000, because $1,200 divided by 0.30 equals $4,000. Until you build the total past that point, the outsized day keeps you over the threshold, so you keep trading and accumulating smaller gains until the big day dilutes below 30%. The evaluation does not fail for the big day; it just asks you to keep going.
Earn2Trade Rule Traps to Watch
Important Rule Risks
- The subscription keeps billing monthly until you pass, cancel, or fail, so a slow evaluation gets expensive.
- You must complete at least 10 trading days; hitting the target early does not let you pass sooner.
- The daily loss limit is breached the moment P&L touches it intraday, even on an open position.
- Moving to a real Live account switches you to continuous trailing drawdown and professional data fees.
- Gauntlet Mini resets are paid; only Trader Career Path includes a free reset on rebill.
Before You Buy
- Pick TCP if you want a scaling ladder and free resets; pick Gauntlet Mini to start large right away.
- Plan to pass efficiently, since the monthly model rewards speed.
- Decide up front whether you want LiveSim (EOD, simpler) or Live (trailing, real capital, data fees).
- Keep every day under 30% of your total during evaluation to avoid an artificially prolonged test.
- Remember all positions must be flat by 3:50 PM CT; this is an intraday-only program.
Payout Rules
Once funded, both programs share the same payout structure with an 80/20 split in the trader's favor. Withdrawals are processed weekly on Wednesdays, and your request must be submitted by 2:00 PM CT the prior Friday. The minimum net withdrawal is $100 after the firm's 20% share and any fees, and withdrawals over $500 carry no withdrawal fee. Payouts run through Rise and other assigned methods, with direct crypto available in select cases; the firm assigns the method rather than leaving it fully optional.
LiveSim accounts carry a withdrawal cap. On the Gauntlet Mini, the LiveSim maximum is $4,000 per withdrawal, and you need to reach $5,000 in profit for the full $4,000 to be available after the 20% split. On the Trader Career Path, the LiveSim cap equals your account's profit target with 20% deducted, and there is no monthly deduction on TCP LiveSim accounts. LiveSim runs until you reach $5,000 in profit (Gauntlet Mini) or your step-one target (TCP), at which point you move to a real Live account with no withdrawal cap.
| Payout Detail | Earn2Trade Policy |
|---|---|
| Profit Split | 80/20 in the trader's favor on all funded accounts |
| Schedule | Weekly, processed Wednesdays; request by 2:00 PM CT the prior Friday |
| Minimum Withdrawal | $100 net, after the 20% share and fees |
| Withdrawal Fee | No fee on amounts over $500; smaller amounts may carry a method-based fee |
| LiveSim Cap (Gauntlet Mini) | $4,000 per withdrawal; reach $5,000 profit for the full amount after split |
| LiveSim Cap (TCP) | Equal to the account profit target, 20% deducted; no monthly deduction |
| Methods | Rise and other assigned methods; direct crypto in select cases |
Platforms & Data
Earn2Trade supports a strong platform stack, included with the evaluation subscription. In March 2026 the firm added Tradovate (via a CQG data feed) and TradingView access alongside its established options.
Listed Platforms
- NinjaTrader
- Tradovate (with TradingView access)
- Finamark
- R|Trader / Rithmic data feed during evaluations
Platform & Data Notes
- Platforms are free with the evaluation subscription, which lowers the effective cost.
- Market data is covered during the evaluation for non-professional traders.
- On real Live accounts you are classed as a professional and pay monthly data fees, roughly $135–$156 per exchange depending on platform.
- Watch low-liquidity contracts on Rithmic, where bid/ask equity calculation can cause large balance swings the firm will not reverse.
Fees, Resets & Refund Policy
Earn2Trade charges a recurring monthly subscription for the evaluation with no upfront activation fee to start. On the funded side, non-professional LiveSim traders pay a one-time $139 activation fee, deducted from the first withdrawal rather than out of pocket. Real Live accounts add ongoing monthly data fees per exchange.
Resets differ by program. The Trader Career Path includes a free reset at each monthly rebill, which is a meaningful cost saver for anyone who needs more than one attempt. The Gauntlet Mini has no free reset; a reset must be purchased, or you can wait and rebill. Because the model is a subscription, canceling stops future billing, and traders should review the current terms and customer-support policy for the firm's refund stance before subscribing.
| Fee Type | Earn2Trade Policy / Details |
|---|---|
| Evaluation Fee | Recurring monthly subscription; no upfront activation fee to start; price varies by size, region, and promotion |
| Activation Fee | $139 one-time on non-professional LiveSim accounts, deducted from the first withdrawal |
| Reset Fee | Free on Trader Career Path at each monthly rebill; purchased on Gauntlet Mini |
| Data Fees | Covered during evaluation for non-professionals; ~$135–$156/month per exchange on real Live accounts |
| Refunds | Subscription model; canceling stops future billing. Review the current terms for the firm's refund policy |
Earn2Trade Discount Code
Earn2Trade runs frequent public promotions, and the firm itself notes that its prices sit at a discount much of the time. Discounts of around 50% off the monthly subscription are common, which is how the GAU50 drops from its $170 full price to well under $100 during a sale. Because different partner links carry different approved codes and Earn2Trade allows only one code per purchase, the smartest move is to compare the final checkout price rather than the headline percentage.
| Promotion | Details |
|---|---|
| Typical Offer | Around 50% off the monthly subscription during regular promotions |
| Applies To | The recurring monthly evaluation fee, not the activation fee or data fees |
| Code Limit | Only one discount code per purchase; codes cannot be stacked |
| Pricing Note | Final price varies by region (US vs. non-US pages) and current promotion |
| Best Practice | Confirm the discounted price is visible in the cart before you pay |

Earn2Trade FAQ
Is Earn2Trade a futures prop firm?
Yes. Earn2Trade is a futures-only evaluation firm operating since 2016. Traders can trade CME, COMEX, NYMEX, and CBOT products, but not stocks, options, forex, or CFDs. Passing an evaluation leads to a funded account with a prop firm partner.
What is the difference between the Trader Career Path and the Gauntlet Mini?
Both use the same evaluation rules at matching sizes. The Trader Career Path starts smaller and scales up to $200K or $400K through profit milestones, and includes free resets on rebill. The Gauntlet Mini lets you buy in directly at up to $200K but has no free reset.
Does Earn2Trade use a monthly subscription?
Yes. Both programs bill as a recurring monthly subscription with no fixed end date and no upfront activation fee to start. You keep the subscription until you pass, cancel, or fail, so passing quickly keeps the total cost down.
What is Earn2Trade's consistency rule?
During evaluation, no single trading day can account for 30% or more of your total profit. A big day does not fail you; you keep trading until it drops below 30% of the growing total. The rule is removed once you are funded.
Does Earn2Trade have an activation fee?
Non-professional LiveSim traders pay a one-time $139 activation fee, but it is deducted from your first withdrawal rather than paid upfront. Real Live accounts instead carry monthly professional data fees per exchange.
How do Earn2Trade payouts work?
Funded accounts pay 80/20 in the trader's favor. Withdrawals process weekly on Wednesdays, with requests due by 2:00 PM CT the prior Friday, and the minimum net withdrawal is $100. LiveSim accounts have withdrawal caps until you move to a real Live account.
Can I hold trades overnight with Earn2Trade?
No. The program is intraday-only. The trading day runs to 3:50 PM CT, and all positions and working orders must be closed by then (earlier for some agricultural and livestock contracts).
What platforms and data does Earn2Trade support?
NinjaTrader, Tradovate (with TradingView), and Finamark, with Rithmic as the evaluation data feed. Platforms are free with the subscription, data is covered during evaluation for non-professionals, and real Live accounts pay their own per-exchange data fees.
Is the Earn2Trade funded account real money?
It can be. After passing, you choose a LiveSim account (simulated, funded, with real payouts) or a real Live account routed to the CME through a brokerage. LiveSim uses EOD drawdown, while Live uses continuous trailing drawdown.
Recent Updates
- July 9, 2026: Rebuilt the review around the current Trader Career Path and Gauntlet Mini programs. Updated per-size profit targets, EOD and trailing drawdown rules, daily loss limits, the progression ladder, the 30% consistency rule, funded LiveSim and Live account structure, the 80/20 split, weekly payout rules and caps, the $139 activation fee, platform and data details (including the new Tradovate and TradingView access), and current promotion guidance.
Final Verdict
Earn2Trade has earned its reputation as the structured, education-first option in the futures space. The EOD drawdown during evaluation is more forgiving than real-time trailing, the Trader Career Path's scaling ladder and free resets are genuinely useful, and the route to a real Live brokerage account sets it apart from sim-only firms. Free professional platforms make attempting an evaluation cheaper than the sticker price implies.
The things to weigh before buying are the recurring monthly billing, the 10-day minimum, the 30% consistency rule, the intraday-only requirement, the LiveSim-to-Live step, and the ongoing data fees on real Live accounts. For a disciplined CME futures trader who wants clear rules, a professional platform stack, and a credible path to larger capital, Earn2Trade remains one of the most established names worth comparing against the newer, faster-payout firms.
