DayTraders Rules Explained

EOD Drawdown

DayTraders offers EOD drawdown on its EOD evaluation accounts and S2F accounts. EOD trailing drawdown updates from the highest balance at the close of the trading day rather than constantly trailing every intraday equity move. This gives traders more room during the session compared with intraday trailing drawdown.

Daily Loss Limit

Daily loss limits vary by account type. Trail and Static evaluation accounts list no daily loss limit. EOD, S2F, and S2L accounts include daily loss limits based on account size. On EOD evaluations, breaching the daily loss limit results in immediate account termination.

Consistency Rule

Standard evaluation accounts use a 50% consistency rule, meaning no single trading day can be larger than 50% of total simulated profits during the evaluation. Pro accounts use a 30% consistency rule, S2F accounts use a 20% consistency rule, and S2L evaluations use a 25% consistency rule. Live S2L accounts list no consistency rule.

Max Contracts

Contract limits depend on the account type and size. Current listed limits range from 2 minis / 20 micros on the $25K S2F account to 40 minis / 400 micros on the $300K Trail and EOD accounts. S2L live accounts start more conservatively, with 1 mini / 10 micros on Core, 2 minis / 20 micros on Edge, and 3 minis / 30 micros on Ultra.

News Trading

DayTraders allows news trading, but the firm cautions that liquidity can decrease and volatility can increase around major events. Dollar cost averaging is allowed, while hedging and automated high-frequency trading are prohibited.

Payout Rules

DayTraders Pro and S2F accounts offer a 100% simulated profit split. Pro accounts require at least 8 qualifying days between payout requests. S2F accounts require at least 10 qualifying days between payout requests. The minimum payout request is $500, and payouts are requested through the trader dashboard after the payout method is set up.

Qualifying days must meet the minimum daily profit threshold for the account size: $100 on $25K, $200 on $50K, $300 on $100K and $150K, and $400 on $300K. Pro accounts also have minimum balance and maximum withdrawal rules by account size. S2F accounts have payout targets between payouts, with maximum payout requests of $1,000 on $25K, $2,000 on $50K, and $3,000 on $150K.

S2L live accounts use an 80/20 profit split. Live payouts are available daily once the trailing drawdown has locked at the initial balance and the account maintains the required $1,000 buffer above the starting balance. Live payouts are scheduled through Plane.
