Lucid Trading Rules Explained

EOD Drawdown

LucidPro, LucidFlex, and LucidDirect accounts use End-of-Day drawdown. The Max Loss Limit is calculated from the account's highest closing balance. As the account grows, the loss limit trails upward until it reaches the initial trail balance, then locks and no longer moves.

Daily Loss Limit

LucidPro and LucidDirect use soft-breach daily loss limits on most larger account sizes. Hitting the daily loss limit restricts trading until the next session, but does not automatically close the account as long as the Max Loss Limit has not been breached. LucidFlex accounts list no daily loss limit.

Consistency Rule

LucidFlex uses a 50% consistency rule in the evaluation stage and has no funded consistency rule. LucidPro has a 40% consistency rule during funded payout cycles. LucidDirect has a 20% consistency rule during payout cycles. Consistency is calculated by comparing the largest single-day profit to total profit for the relevant cycle.

Max Contracts

Contract limits scale by account size. $25K accounts list 2 minis / 20 micros, $50K accounts list 4 minis / 40 micros, $100K accounts list 6 minis / 60 micros, and $150K accounts list 10 minis / 100 micros.

News Trading

Lucid Trading allows futures trading during approved market hours. All positions must be closed by 4:45 PM EST Monday through Friday, and trading resumes at 6:00 PM EST Sunday through Thursday. LucidLive accounts have different live trading terms and may allow more flexibility.

Payout Rules

Lucid Trading funded payouts use a 90/10 profit split, with 90% paid to the trader and 10% retained by Lucid Trading. Lucid advertises no fixed payout windows, and approved payouts are deducted from the account quickly before being sent through the selected payout provider.

LucidPro payouts require meeting the minimum profit goal, 40% consistency, and profit-over-buffer requirements. LucidFlex payouts require 5 profitable trading days with the required daily minimum and positive net profit for the payout cycle. LucidDirect payouts require a 20% consistency rule and a payout profit goal that resets after each approved payout.
